Kesari is a traditional south Indian sweet.This sweet is made especially in the wedding of South Indian marriages.

Kesari is not available on stores.It is prepared at home with love and care.Mostly during occasions this sweet is prepared.

This dish is made quickly and healthy too.You can made healthy by adding jaggery instead of sugar.This kesari can be made with fruits too.

Many fruits variations like mango,apple,pineapple,mixed fruit and without any fruit.This can also be made with milk and named it as milk kesari.

Overview of Pineapple kesari:

  1. Boil the water in a pan.
  2. At the same time blend the pineapple pieces to puree in a mixer.
  3. Now add 1/2 cup sugar to  it and blend well.
  4. Add ghee to a kadai and then add rava to it.
  5. Fry until it turns golden brown.
  6. Now add water to this rava and cook well.
  7. Once it is cooked,add this pineapple puree to it.
  8. Mix well and add essence also to this mixture.
  9. In addition to this add sugar and mix well.
  10. Stir continuously without making any lumps.
  11. Ghee can be added part by part until this mixture absorbs it.
  12. Finally garnish with fried cashews and serve to people.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rava/sooji
  • 3 cup water
  • 3 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Pineapple
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 tbsp pineapple essence
  • 3 tbsp fried cashews

Instructions

  • First of all boil the water.
    At the same time take a pan and add ghee to it.
  • Now add rava to it and roast until it turns golden color.
  • At the same time chop the pineapple pieces and grind it to a mixture.
    Add 1/2 cup sugar to this puree and blend well.
  • Now add boiled water to rava and cook well.
  • After rava is cooked well,add this puree and mix well.
    At the same time add essence to it also.
  • In addition to this add sugar and mix well.
  • Stir continuously without making any lumps.
  • Add ghee to it part by part and stir until it is fully absorbed.
  • Finally add fried cashews and serve to guests.

Notes

You can add pineapple puree or else cooked pine apple pieces.
How to cook pineapple pieces:
Chop the pineapple and add it to a boiling water.
Wait until it is fully cooked and smashy.
After that add to the cooked rava.
So make this cooking before making kesari.
